  1. I approach my work with a fondness and reverence for the exaggerated fictions of sci-fi and fantasy, engrossed by their function as escapism, yet also admiring their commentary on the real world. I want to capture their storytelling, how its tactility and historicity reflects our complicated reality. Bordering on retread, I repeat and deviate from their established forms in order to reach that exciting essence behind visions of bygone eras and unreachable futures.
